The Book

Is The Blokes Book of Cooking V2.0 for you or someone you know?

The Blokes Book of Cooking is for guys and gals who have little or no cooking experience. It would make a great gift for those sons and daughters who are leaving home, for partners who are no great shakes in the kitchen, new partners and ex-partners who have to cook for the kids or just for friends.

It's not an ordinary book on cooking.

While most cook books seem to be written for people whose mothers or fathers trained them from the cradle in the basics, or maybe cooking was just genetically encoded, this book is for those who have never really paid much attention to the kitchen before, unless it was to get food someone else had prepared.

There are recipes to aid you, and this book is also about understanding cooking JARGON and HOW to you cook.

So what does all the cooking jargon mean? It’s almost a foreign language if you have never dealt with it before. What are some of the basic kitchen skills you will need such as; how do you boil, scramble, poach or fry an egg? How do you grill, fry or barbecue a sausage or a chop? How do you cut veggies for a salad? How do you boil, mash, or bake a potato? How do you cook pasta? How do you ...?

What do you need in the way of supplies, kitchen tools and equipment?

How do you make a meal and set a table if you've got a hot date or you have friends coming over and you want want to make a good impression?

All of these questions, and lots more, are answered in:
